Exposed is Pakistan's Rs 45 cr US lobby frenzy: 60 requests to stop India's "Operation Sindoor"

In April 2025, Amit Malviya, the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), revealed startling US documents that showed Pakistan's desperation during India's Operation Sindoor. Islamabad demonstrated the impact of the operation after the Pahalgam attack by paying Rs 45 crore to six lobbying firms and making nearly 60 desperate requests for a ceasefire to American officials.

The BJP's National In-Charge for Information and Technology, Amit Malviya, presented damning evidence on X and described it as "bad news for Pakistan apologists." He revealed how Operation Sindoor shook Pakistan, citing America's Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) filings with the US Department of Justice. The post promises to "expose these cretins again" and calls for identifying Indian skeptics who had doubts about PM Modi and the military during the crisis.

Following the terror attack in Pahalgam, US diplomats in Pakistan initiated a vigorous lobbying campaign that included emails, phone calls, and meetings with senior administration officials, legislators, Pentagon, and State Department representatives. From late April through the four-day operation, there were almost sixty interactions. The goal of these initiatives was to stop India's precision strikes and mediate a ceasefire.

Pakistan paid roughly Rs 45 crore (roughly $5.4 million) to six lobbying firms in order to expedite access to the Trump administration.
